(C) 2000 Diary of a Spirit
THE ANSWER
Simple things for simple minds,
Nothing's left over, except in a dream.
Now when it's over, will it be over?
Is there something, which eludes my mind?
Why does it seem, to be just a dream,
Is dying a mystery, or is there really an end?
What does it take, to open their eyes,
As the tree grows and dies,
So do we.
To live and breed, to leave a seed,
Then what to learn, if all is at loss.
To brighten the spirit, to gain new life,
To open the door, to the path that is right.
But what is right, if right is to die.
Must there be something else,
That waits at death's door?
A hopeful companion is salvation,
If it is mine.
A hopeful existence, for those who see the light.
But to see the light, is to serve,
And to make a better world.
Where man lives eternal, and holiness rules all.
