MISERY

Wisdom, wisdom where is wisdom.
Here it is, there it is, now it's gone.
Once I was a child, and then I was man,
Now I am like a child again, and wisdom is gone.
I try and try, and then I fail,
It all seems so unfair.
The mystery of this broken mind,
When will it all come back to me.
Time and sunsets, skies of blue,
And yet my mind, is distant but true.
This empty head, it once was full,
No one could compare.
Then one day or was it night,
I simply cannot say.
It went away, and darkness came,
And all was but a dream.
Now I sit and wonder,
Will a thought appear some day,
Or will I still be waiting,
When the life within me leaves.
Wisdom, wisdom, where have you gone,
I knew you in my dreams,
 But something went wrong,
I just can't say, You suddenly went away.
Oh how I dream of the endless days,
When I will ponder,
of the things untold, And look at the children,
Who come to hear the many tales of old.
But until that day comes, I'll sit and I'll wait,
And hope that wisdom will return.
