(C) 2000 Diary of a Spirit
NOVA
In time we will know, what will show,
In the nature of man.
But how long do we wait,
Before life demonstrates,
The truth that is so hard to find.
Man is a beast, that calls himself a god,
But fails to see the world as it is.
He claims it is his own,
To do with what he should.
But never does he see, it's all a mess.
And yet it doesn't matter,
If he never sees this thing,
It's just a condition of the mind.
So why am I perplexed, to see it's all a mess,
And know there's something hidden, in it all.
Because a savage doesn't know anything,
But an incurable lust for blood,
And things that make him feel secure.
And remind him that he's a god.
And though I trust in the universe,
And the things that make it work,
I keep looking for this truth.
That somewhere there's a human,
That thinks the way I do;
And knows this world will end some day,
And the savage known as man, will be gone.
